I’d like to share with you all what I pack in my checked baggage (the suitcase that you check in at the airport) usually when I fly on domestic or international flights. This is what I would normally pack depending on how many days I would be at my destination for and according to the weather there. Always make sure you don’t have any sharp, flammable or dangerous objects packed. Airlines are usually strict with the weight limit on luggages so make sure it’s just on or under the limit. But if you know it is over and you can’t throw anything out then you do have the option to purchase more weight prior to your flight online. Otherwise if you are at the airport and you are over the limit you will have to pay an excess baggage fee on the spot or remove items out depending on your preference.
Here is a list of what I pack in my checked baggage:
- Travel adaptors (around the world there are different universal plugs so always check the country that you are travelling to)
- Chargers for my iPhone and other devices
- Flip flops
- High heels
- Make up
- Haircare products
- Curling iron
- Portable speaker
I would recommend you to leave some space in your luggage if you plan on going shopping. I learnt the hard way when I overpacked for one of my trips to Europe and ended up breaking my suitcase on the way coming back due to my suitcase overfilling. Happy packing!
